4. Unpredictable Bowel Function
Most people suffering from thyroid issues report unpredictable and unusual bowel function. With a malfunctioning thyroid changing the rate of metabolism, it is likely that patterns of bowel movement also change. Those suffering from low thyroid production will have a slower metabolism, a lazy gut and may feel constipated often. Those with high production levels have a very high metabolism and thus develop diarrhoea and/or frequent urge to defecate.
