8. Chest or Upper Abdominal Pain
Since a Hiatal hernia is typically found at the opening of your diaphragm, one of the symptoms you would experience if you had this is feeling pain or discomfort in your chest or upper abdominal area. Much like heartburn, you might even have shortness of breath as an accompaniment with the chest or abdominal pain. This particular symptom is one of the more alarming ones as it could also serve as an indicator of a more serious disease or illness. Try and see if the pain lasts for a long time or if it comes and goes then you can gauge whether you should just let it pass or you should go to your physician.
