2. Lower Back Pain
Another early warning sign of endometriosis includes lower back pain that may also radiate up into the middle of the back. Due to the contraction and the cramping of the uterus, lower back pain can be a regular symptom of normal menstruation. However, when it comes to endometriosis, this pain can be caused by scar tissue that has been formed as a side effect of the condition. Sometimes this pain can even spread to the chest. However, the good news is that it can be helped with over-the-counter pain medications, a heating pad or a long, warm bath. A doctor can also prescribe medications for stronger pain relief, should the need arise.
