6. Muscle And Joint Pain

Unexplained muscle aches and joint pains accompanied by a general feeling of discomfort in the legs or arms is an indicator of carpal tunnel syndrome. And frequent carpal tunnel syndrome is majorly because of a low functioning thyroid. It is, perhaps, one symptom of thyroid problem that is most overlooked. An underactive thyroid can cause weakness in joints, including stiffness, which can even contribute to tendonitis. On the other hands, hyperthyroidism can cause fatigue which can range from not being able to climb stairs to not being able to hold onto objects.
