9. Bowel-Related Problem
Severe, long-term digestive problems such as constipation and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) are often linked with an underlying thyroid problem. Thyroid hormones can interfere with one’s bowel habits and the body’s ability to digest general waste. Even after consuming enough fiber, one can suffer from bowel-related issues, in case thyroid is overactive. Remember, if you notice a visible change in your bathroom habits, without any signs of improvements, you should get your thyroid checked immediately.
